Hello All,

Here you will find all of the newest versions of Woody Guthrie's America. As soon as we posted the site a few weeks back, new contributions came flying in from all corners of the world. I hope you enjoy them as much as we have.

One particular version by Brandon Duncan from Nashville, came in the evening before the Nashville show a few weeks ago. In the email he was wondering if he could still get into the show. We were in Memphis, exhausted, and fell asleep listening to it at the hotel. The next day we called him from the van and organized to perform the version that night. Songs came in each day and we would listen to them in the van. Sometimes I would spot someone in the crowd I recognized and drag them up on stage. All in all it has been totally inspiring and encouraging for us to get to share music and participate creatively with everyone. I hope more contributions continue to come in and we can grow this on and on!

If any of you out there are interested in collaborating on the Woody Project, but happen to be web programmers instead of song singers, we are looking for someone to re-organize the site. It is (obviously?) at the limits of my iWeb capabilities, and I would love to create a site where people could upload their versions themselves.
